Nestled in the beautiful village of Uffington, The Corbet Arms is a historic country pub near Shrewsbury with hotel accommodation, a restaurant and possibly the best beer garden in Shrewsbury. Our family-run country pub is set on the banks of the River Severn, a mere six miles outside of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Access is easy from both Telford and Shropshire. As well as having an ample-sized car park, we also have EV charging points onsite.

Our restaurant is regarded as one of Shrewsbury’s best. Sunday lunch at our restaurant is often fully booked so we advise our visitors to book in advance. During the week our restaurant serves a menu full of hearty favourites and country pub classics.

You’ll find a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit every taste – to be enjoyed either in our beautiful country pub beer garden by the River Severn or within our newly decorated bar, restaurant and seating areas.

 Verified Lovely food , really enjoyed the meal
Went as a family although very busy we were able to get a seat at the bar we ordered food and drinks and they were very good indeed , we were all very pleased with the food and enjoyed it very much , would go again 5 star

 Verified Boxing Day lunch
We visited here for a Boxing Day lunch with family. The food overall was good however it was a little cold but the reason I can only give this a 3 star review is the service. The service was a little slow and after a slight mix up with the order, nobody came back to our table and so we had to go to the bar to ask for sauces etc, and I just felt a little like we were an inconvenience, having the flag someone down for more drinks and things too. The food was nice here and I think reasonably priced, but I don’t think the portions were great and with the meal being a little cold, I don’t think we would return quickly, over other places we have been. Photos of starters and mains, no dessert because we felt there wasn’t a great option.

Very poor service. Didn’t bring all the food ordered. Very slow. No steak knives bought out and had to ask. Drinks delayed. Was not that busy. Considered desert but no one came back to ask. Food was good but whole experience negative.

Another brilliant meal! Warm welcome and shown to a comfortable table. Drink and food order taken, rapid wine and water delivery. Food followed shortly after. I had lamb my wife turkey both on hot plates moist plentiful and perfectly cooked! Vegetables arrived in timely fashion. I was amazed at the industry of the lasses and lads serving customers. I noted that nothing was too much trouble and the friendly atmosphere was maintained despite the number of orders executed! (Managers do look after these treasures of your organisation they really enhance your offering and service) What a wonderful time had at a Sunday evening roast.  Verified Top class meals and service
We went for our family get together Christmas meal. From the ambience of the pub and atmosphere when arriving everything just kept getting better. The service was excellent. When a waiter can remember your drinks when you reorder that is attention to detail. The food was plentiful and delicious. Everything fresh and tasty. We were not rushed. Loved it because we had a round table. We have been several times before for meals. We have never been disappointed. At a busy time of year the service was above and beyond our expectations.

 Verified Family gathering
We held a wake for my grandfather and, from first contact with Steph and the rest of the team, we received great service. On the day, Javier looked after us and was very attentive. The room was a good size, perfect for any occasions, and has its own bar. Sadly we couldn't make use of the outside spaces due to the weather, but it's a great location and would be perfect on a sunny day. We were able to pop in the night before to add some photographs to the available boards. Food was good quality, freshly made and went down well with guests, and the gluten free offering was much better than other places. We've visited The Corbet Arms for many occasions over the years and highly recommend it.

 Verified Possibly the best value for money hotel in Shrewsbury.
This hotel truly is a little gem ! We travel from Lancashire at least once a year and always stay at this fabulous little family owned hotel. Why. ? Because it ticks all the boxes, spotless bedrooms with incredibly comfy beds, excellent value for money meals especially the breakfast. The staff are always friendly especially Elaine who always welcomes everyone with a cheery smile when they come down for breakfast. The location is superb and if you are lucky enough to book a room at the back of the hotel you get a superb view of the river and the garden area. So for us it's got the lot and all at very competitive prices .

 Verified Fantastic 90th birthday party Sunday lunch
On behalf of our family we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at The Corbet Arms for our Mum's 90th birthday lunch. The team was absolutely amazing and the food was superb. We enjoyed every mouthful and every moment and we were looked after so well. Fantastic service, so well coordinated with all 28 of us eating a beautifully presented, piping hot Sunday lunch at exactly the same time.
