WELCOME TO THE CORBET ARMS IN UFFINGTON

Birds

Nestled in the beautiful village of Uffington, The Corbet Arms is a historic country pub near Shrewsbury with hotel accommodation, restaurant and possibly the best beer garden in Shrewsbury. Our family-run country pub is set on the banks of the River Severn, a mere six miles outside of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Access is easy from both Telford and Shropshire.

Our restaurant is regarded as one of Shrewsbury’s best. Sunday lunch at our restaurant is often fully booked so we advise our visitors to book in advance. During the week our restaurant serves a menu full of hearty favourites and country pub classics.

You’ll find a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit every taste – to be enjoyed either in our beautiful country pub beer garden by the River Severn or within our newly decorated bar, restaurant and seating areas.

If you’re visiting or live in Shrewsbury and fancy a night out, our hotel offers a peaceful night sleep as standard, featuring a modern en-suite bathroom, climate control and a lot of home comforts.

Fantastic quality and service We have visited twice with family in recent months and have had an excellent meal each time. The menu is fantastic, with a wide range of choices, something for everyone. Our food was large in portion size and excellent quality. I had the curry, which was very tasty. Service is attentive, friendly and yet unhurried. Prices are very good value, considering the quality here. The ambience and decor is lovely. Tables are well spread out, some with screens in between, and we felt very safe too. Well worth a visit.

Lovely Atmosphere and Service Great choice of menu. Excellent portions and service was fantastic. Our waiter, Luke, was very knowledgeable with the dishes and able to make recommendations. The view when outside is lovely, the social distancing is organised perfectly and atmosphere is still alive here!!

Sunday Lunch My Wife & I went to the Corbett Arms on Sunday 26th Oct, 2020. Excellent Lunch which we both enjoyed extremely. Have been here a few times since the Covid-19. Staff are most welcome from when you arrive until you leave. Atmosphere is always buzzing with families and couples. This is a 'MUST' to visit.

Super Sunday lunch Super Sunday lunch - we visited with friends after a morning walking so we were ready for a big lunch. We weren’t disappointed. Perfect beef and Yorkshire pud, roasties with veg served in a large bowl on the side. The desserts were good - but my lemon tart was a lot smaller than my husband’s Bakewell dessert so I wish I’d had that instead. One small gripe, the table behind us was a bit too close for my liking, it’s a big spacious pub so there was no need to sit another party quite so close. The beer garden/patio is perfect for outdoor eating/drinking so would recommended this too.

A great stay We stayed 2 nights, 13 /14 Oct. Loved the location, food both evenings was really good and reasonably priced. The breakfast and evening staff were just right, friendly but not obtrusive. Covid precautions were good too.

Dinner with a friend I have not been eating out much during CV19, so I was a little apprehensive. This was my second visit to Corbet Arms in the past month and it was very good again. I felt safe during our dinner, they have a gadget at each table that you can use to call for service. The food was delicious and service very efficient and friendly.

What a lovely hotel and accommodation. What a lovely hotel and accommodation. Stayed here for one night with my partner. Had dinner and breakfast. Really enjoyed my sausage bap and coffee. Accommodation for the night for the price was really good. Room was very comfortable and cosy. Lovely bed and nice views over the countryside. Hotel is in a nice location. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Rude member of staff Went for meal (this itself was excellent) tables were social distanced and staff wearing masks. The issue was the lady in charge she was rude (actually used the F word ) regards our party as we were confused were to sit. Her communication skills were lacking, with the way she was talking to customers being very rude and abrupt. Another table behind us were also commenting regards her manner. All the other staff were attentive and cheery, good meal spoilt by the attitude of one staff member.
