The food? Delicious, I would thoroughly recommend the slow-roasted lamb shoulder and breakfast just topped off a great stay. Just outside of Shrewsbury in the peaceful village of Uffington makes it an ideal location for accessing Shrewsbury without the hustle and bustle of a town centre hotel. The Corbet Arms might not be a fine dining restaurant but we do serve absolutely delicious food at a reasonable price in a relaxed and down-to-earth atmosphere.

Our focus is on providing an enjoyable experience for all of our guests, whether you’re here for a quick bite to eat or spending the afternoon enjoying Sunday Lunch with the family.

Unfortunately, we don’t allow dogs in the bar or restaurant but we do have a lovely beer garden with a large outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a drink with your furry friend.

Yes, unlike many Shrewsbury restaurants, we’re just outside of the town centre, and there is a large car park with plenty of spaces for our guests. Parking is free for all customers.

If you’re looking for the best restaurants in Shrewsbury town centre, then there are plenty of independents to choose from including Italian cuisine from the quirky La Lanterna, it’s a traditional Italian restaurant that’s very popular.

For authentic Thai food you can’t go wrong with Thai-D Food Bar.

If it’s modern British classics and the best cocktails visit Albert & Co Frankville, it’s just opposite the Theatre Severn. They are also a dog friendly restaurant, so you can enjoy amazing food and great service in a relaxed environment.

If you’re looking for small plates, we suggest taking a look inside the Market Hall in Shrewsbury. There are a number of personal favourites in there such as the little gem The Birds Nest and the Market Cafe.

For fine dining, La Mer Rouge make fantastic food and you can’t go wrong with the Golden Cross Hotel if you want to experience the quality of a major city restaurant in a provincial town.

For excellent coffee, we suggest Ginger & Co just around the corner from the Old Market Hall.

There are a number of chains, such as the French restaurant Côte Brasserie.

But if you’re looking for a laid-back restaurant and bar in a beautiful setting with spectacular views of the River Severn, then come pay The Corbet Arms a visit, we’re just outside of Shrewsbury Town Centre and have ample parking too.
